Why
should I register? |
l |
So you can reconnect with
old friends. |
| |
|
| Is there a fee to register
or payment required to receive a Directory? |
l
|
No - There is no charge
or fee for registering or receiving an Ankara Directory.
|
l
|
A voluntary contribution
from those who are able is always greatly appreciated. The
generosity of alumni enables us to publish and mail the
Directory, without charging a fee. |
|
Who needs to register?
|
l
|
Students who
attended at least one year of high school in Ankara, grades
9-12, class years 1953 - this year's graduates.
We do not accept registrations from students prior to their
high school graduation. Please do not register if you were
in Ankara only for elementary school or middle (junior
high) school. |
l |
Faculty and non-teaching staff from
1953-current class year. |
| |
| How does your
registration information help us? |
l |
We maintain current e-mail addresses
that are posted to a secure area of this site....The
Network. |
l |
We maintain the
Ankara Directory - a comprehensive contact list of alumni
& faculty, periodically mailed to fellow alumni. |
| |
|
| What is the Ankara
Directory? |
l |
Current addresses
and phone numbers of all alumni and faculty who attended
the high school in the 50s, 60s and 70s. The
Directory also lists those who have passed away and
alumni who graduated, but are still missing. |
| |
|
| Where's the printed Directory for the class years 1980 and beyond? |
l |
No comprehensive
alumni Directory has ever been printed or distributed for
the classes beyond 1979. We're willing to expand the Directory
to include all class years, but only if the hard costs (printing
and postage) are funded by those alumni. We maintain, in
our class list database, the contact information and email
addresses for all class years. Names and email addresses
are available in The
Network, but full contact information may only
be distributed via a printed Directory. |
| |
|
| What happens after I register? |
l |
Your name, e-mail
address and the city where you live will be posted under
your appropriate class/graduation year. This
information is login protected and can only be viewed by
fellow alumni who are listed in and receive the Ankara Directory. |
l |
Your street
address and phone number are not viewable on this
website. This information is added to the Ankara
Directory (1953-1979) and periodically mailed to alumni.
|
| |
|
| May I update/edit
my information? |
l |
Yes.
Please do let us know when you move, change your phone
number or acquire a new email address. Simply select the "editing my information"
option on registration form and complete all the required fields. |
| |
|
| When I register
my e-mail address, will I receive more SPAM? |
l |
The simple answer
is "no." Your AnkaraAlumni.net web site doesn't
actually have the e-mail address list.
It's stored in a separate database that cannot be directly
accessed by SPAMers. The e-mail address you see on
your computer screen exists in your browser only at the
time you're viewing it. |
The Ankara Directory (class
years 1953-1979) was first published in 1990 and is continually
maintained, updated and distributed. It remains, to this day,
our most valuable asset. We established and maintain the policy
that the Ankara Directory is for the exclusive, non-commercial
use of alumni and faculty.
