I had forgotten about the difference between being sick and ill, too. And I can't remember what "sick" meant, except that it wasn't something to talk about in polite company. It was fun to come back to the States and call someone you didn't like a "peach", too, and not have them know what you really meant. Silly things that bring smiles to my face, even now.
