Shades of the Sixties.
Remember when concerned citizens were tired of goverment policies, and a government that did not want to listen to a bunch of "longhaired, unwashed, rabblerousing hippies", and how we changed the system and stopped a war. It seems like we the children of the Sixties, who have the reins of political power are making the same mistakes that the "Establishment or the Man", did to us (back in the Sixties), by not listening to the people.
It was great having a Tea Party in Fresno yesterday where over 7,500 people attended and thousands of people listened and watched us all over the US via the internet.
While at GCM 64-68 I was not a bit politically active, but now I have had enough and I'm going to do something about making our "representives" listen to the ones that put them in office. Suppport the cause in anyway you can. WE CAN DO IT!!
Right now there is a march of over 2,500 farm workers and farmers are trekking 70 plus miles from the farming towns of Mendota to the San Luis Resevior. The reason of the march is that the Feds and the State of California has shut off the irrigation water to the Westside farming district (700,000+ acres) devestating the the ecnonomy and lives of thousands of people, due to a species of Delta Smelt that might get caught up the transfer pumps that lifts the water from the Delta to the canal that delivers water to the Westside.
Now you are wondering, "So what is the big deal?" It affects all of us, The price of produce melons, tomatoes lettuce broccolli, almonds, grapes etc. are going up in price due to decreased amounts on the market.
But what is the main concern is that the common sense and the will of our elected represenatives is being dictated by a few special intrest groups and policies. Wake up and smell the coffee folks! If you are not satisfied with you elected officals then VOTE THE BUMS OUT!!!

Good comments. "It looks like the USSR is coming back. Did you ever hear "Springfield USA" on AFRS. That program predicted exactly what is happening now.
