I don't want to step on any toes but if you are able to make a donation you might consider searching for a way to give to the people of Grenada or Haiti. Their homes have been destroyed without a hope of an insurance settlement or even much help from their governments.

Re donating to Grenada or Haiti - are you aware of any reputable organizations involved or might you have a couple of recommendations and/or websites you could point to?

I really can't totally verify it's legitimacy but it seemed okay to me. I suppose the International Red Cross might work, too.

I'll see if I can find a link for Haiti. Hurricane issues stateside are minor compared to the devastation in the Caribbean
