Jody was diagnosed with cancer in December 2003. She is now in hospice care and would enjoy hearing/seeing classmates from the year 1966 if they are in the neighborhood. She still lives in Arlington, Virginia. If anyone wants to visit I suggest emailing ahead and checking that there is no conflict. Her husband Larry is there and other family members including her mother and sister, Joan Barlerin Flaherty, are often in and out. She can not type emails but her husband Larry prints out ones she receives at jbmayer "at" bonbon.net. It is hard to know what to recommend what she would like to know or hear. I suggest reminiscences of our senior year, the trip to Rhodes, Turkish food, the faculty, the prom, just about anything from time in Turkey. Larry is very cautious and will not accept any attachments or digital images so don’t send them. I suppose she’d like to know about how everyone is and their current locations and interests. In part what she would enjoy is the attention and love of old classmates. Another possibility would be to fold and send her origami storks. I and other friends have been folding and hanging them from the ceiling. Almost anything that provides an opportunity to discuss or talk about happier times would be appreciated.
